Quartz and Glass Different
Quartz is a crystal, while glass is not a crystal.
This is because they have different internal structures. Quartz is a with periodicity, meaning it forms repeatedly within a fixed period and has a fixed geometric shape. Glass, on the other hand, does not have a fixed shape lacks periodicity.
The characteristics of crystals are as follows: Crystals have a regular geometric shape; Crystals have a fixed melting point, and the temperature remains during the melting process; Crystals exhibit anisotropy: solid materials can be either crystalline or amorphous (non-crystalline solids), amorphous solids do not have the aforementioned characteristics; Crystals are solids in which the internal particles are arranged in a periodic and repetitive manner in three-dimensional space with long-range order and periodic repetitive arrangement.
